Siamese - Wendell - Barn Cat - Medium - Adult - Male - Cat
Wendell
This handsome feral male is a seal point Siamese, about 2-3 years old, who was part of a cat colony in Sahuarita when we found him in August xxxx. Based on the number of well- bred Siamese in the colony, someone had probably abandoned the cats. When he was trapped to be neutered and returned to the colony, we discovered he had some wounds which had to be repaired. At the same time, we tested him for FELV and found he was positive, and he also had kidney disease. The vet figured he probably only had a few months to live so we decided to keep him in a very large indoor kennel.
Jump ahead to April xxxx, and Wendell is a robust kitty. His weight is doing well and we have no reason to believe he won?t live for some time to come. So now we want to find a safe, protected indoor place for him to run, play and catch some mice and live out his days. A warehouse, garage studio, or similar environment is perfect. Wendell is eating Prescription Diet K/D and needs to remain on the food to create less stress on his kidneys.
His foster mom has this to say about Wendell: ?He goes to the end of the kennel when I clean his litterbox and food dishes. He never has attempted to scratch or bite but he clearly does not want humans touching him. Cats are another story. If a cat approaches the kennel, Wendell wants to play. He loves toys and would do well with another FELV cat.?
Please give Wendell a special home. Paws Patrol will waive the adoption fees but applicants must complete the application and be screened.
